Projects

Overview

Projects is a fast, Linear-style issue tracker. Teams own issues with a short key (like ENG-1), and you can work them on a kanban board, drag them between columns, or read them as grouped lists. Every issue carries a status, priority, assignee, labels and an estimate, and can be broken into sub-issues — with updates syncing live across everyone on the team.

Features

• Kanban board. Drag issues between columns — Backlog, Todo, In Progress, Done and Canceled — to update their status.
• Priorities. Flag issues as Urgent, High, Medium, Low or No priority.
• Assignees & labels. Assign an issue to a team member and tag it with any number of org-wide labels.
• Estimates. Size work with Fibonacci story points (0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13).
• Sub-issues. Break an issue into child issues with parent/child links and progress tracking (e.g. 2/5 done).
• Issue detail. Editable title and description, a comment thread with author and timestamp, and quick pickers for every property.
• Multiple views. Board, List (grouped by status, priority or assignee), My issues, Projects, Labels, and Teams & members.
• Command palette. Press Cmd/Ctrl+K to jump between views, search issues by title or key, and create a new issue.
• Filtering. Filter by status, priority and assignee at once to focus the board or list.
• Real-time collaboration. Per-team live updates over a websocket keep everyone's board in sync.

How it works

Work is organised by team; each team has a key that prefixes its issue identifiers, and issues carry status, priority, assignee, labels, estimate and an optional parent for sub-issues. Issues can also be grouped into projects. Moving a card on the board updates the issue's status, and every change broadcasts to the team over a live websocket. Access uses the workspace single sign-on.
