Org Sync

Overview

Org Sync copies selected Drive files and folders and selected Contacts from your current organization into another organization you administer, identified by its slug. Pick what to transfer, name the target, review, and send — folders copy recursively, bringing their whole contents across. Because it can read one org and write another, it's gated to admins of both.

Features

• Cross-org transfer. Copy from your current org into another org you administer, addressed by its slug (e.g. acme-team).
• Drive files & folders. Tick the Drive items to bring over; selected folders copy recursively, including everything inside them.
• Contacts. Select individual contacts to copy across alongside (or instead of) Drive items.
• Review before you send. A running count shows how many items you've picked; the transfer button confirms the total before anything moves.
• Clear results. After a transfer you get a summary — files, folders and contacts copied, plus any errors — and the target org's name.
• Admin-gated. The caller must be an admin of both the source and target organizations.
• Coming soon — back up with friends. A roadmap item teased in the app: reciprocal, end-to-end encrypted backups between friends' instances — store an encrypted backup on a friend's Grown platform and host theirs on yours, so each keeps the other's bytes safe but can never read them.

How it works

Org Sync lists your current org's Drive root and Contacts so you can choose what to copy, then posts your selection and the target slug to the transfer endpoint. The server, having confirmed you administer both orgs, copies the chosen files (recursing into folders) and contacts into the target and reports back how much landed.
